Welcome to the Tami Wilson Project! We are glad you are here and we hope the content on this page will help you or someone you love.  Tami Wilson was a lovely young woman who died at the age of 39 of a brain tumor.

Tami presented with symptoms nearly 3 years before being diagnosed. These symptoms were missed by healthcare professionals, family and friends. Our mission at the Tami Wilson Project is to champion advocacy and awareness for the early detection of brain tumors.

Unlike other organs in our body, when the brain is sick, we blame the patient and not the organ. Read Tami's story to understand more...

Take action before it's too late

The Tami Wilson Project was inspired by Tami and her wish that others and their families wouldn't go through the needless suffering of being misdiagnosed for years.  Through our organization, we strive to be a resource by providing education and awareness to patients about the signs and symptoms of brain tumors.  Additionally, we are building a coalition to influence healthcare providers to change the triage protocols for the treatment of anxiety & depression with requiring earlier action and approval for brain scans.

Our Experience

Tami was a loving daughter and sister, and a dedicated wife and mother. She was an award winning sales professional who took her career seriously while still having lots of fun. She was a good friend to many and a ray of sunshine to all who met her. So how does someone like Tami all of the sudden start having “panic attacks”, drastic weight loss, personality changes, or even alcohol abuseIf you see something out of character...ask.  What you are seeing may be warning signs that something is affecting the brain.
